Look what I found!!!
I had to share with you the cutest blanket that I found at the thrift shop today.
I couldn't resist it! I always have a weak spot for anything crochet at the thrift stores or estate sales.
Perfect size for napping and cuddling. Sophie loves it of course! I'm amazed how much work went into this beauty! It's quite big (fits on my full size bed) and is great condition (no holes or pills).
Thank you all for the sweet comments and support on my last post. I can't tell you how much each one meant to me!
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!
It's beautiful and is perfect for Spring! Happy Easter!!

What an amazing blanket! Lucky girl finding this one. I am curious about the pattern... Looks like it is knitted... Am I wrong. Sometimes I wonder how people can let go of treasures like this. It is pure art. Happy Easter. So glad I came over. Somehow I have missed your blog... How could I? Your place is really lovely. Like it here. Will add you to my Bloglovin list as well as Google Reader will close down in July.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this blanket! Anyone sophisticated enough to figure out the pattern? I have a fabric hexagon quilt in the works so I am crazy for hexagons. Now I am going to obsess on this blanket all day. LOL

ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful I've only ever seen this pattern made in patchwork with fabric. I'm pretty sure the pattern is called Grandmothers Garden. What a wonderful find. Lucky you.

ReplyDeleteI'm always rescuing abandoned afghans from thrift shops! I see the love that must have gone into the making of your amazing find!
ReplyDeleteCould you kindly tell me how many hexagons across and down there are. I'd like to make one for my bed with either Vanna's Choice or sugar and creamcotton that I have an abundance of in my stash.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful crochet!
