Yellow and White Chevron Blanket

Hi all! Thank you so much for your well wishes for my new shop. Your support means so much to me!


  I think I just found my new favorite pattern to crochet... chevron (or otherwise known as ripple). The royalsisters have a great pattern for the perfect design, not too pointy and not too wavy. I want one in every color of the rainbow :) 


This one is made out of Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in bright yellow and white using size H hook. I did not add a border as I though the edges are perfectly neat. It measures about 27 inches wide and 32 inches tall. So happy with how it turned out. It is my first ripple ever!

    Everything old is new again. I made ripples for my boys when they were babies. It still looks fresh and pretty!

    Oh...I MUST add that to my list of things to make. We just opened a Hobby Lobby in the area. I am finding that yarn to be my favorite for all things. Thanks for the inspiration...now to jump and find the pattern. XXX

    I'm using the pattern you linked to, but I keep ending up with extra stitches on Round 2. Do you count the skipped chains as the first tr? Also, are you supposed to chain 2 after turning? I'm still new at this :)

      Hi Madi

      I found that part a little confusing too. You count the skipped chains as the firs tr and you are not supposed to chain 2 after turning. It creates a really clean edge once you get going :)

      I have a question about that.....
      How can you turn and start a new row without chain 2? And you need to skip a stitch at every beginning of a row but I keep getting a big hole. I don't get it...I also keep increasing in some way. At the end of row 2 I got an extra stitch and the same for row 3 and 4... :S

    Can you help me with the number of chains to start with for a baby size? 183-185 in the original pattern will be too large. I know this post was eons ago but I'm hoping you remember?
